I recently tried to purchase one and after a week of chasing managed to track one down, apparently a supplier is trying to buy the tooling to carry on production!

Was also told a new motor will soon be released as a replacement, no def details or release date:(

or sat superstore would be another that might want to carry on production of them.

i hope they do make another version of the motor as there is nothing else like it on the market to move heavy dishes

Yes it would be a shame to see it no longer made!

Hope there is a new improved model. Maybe to take the weight of the Andrews 1.8m?

Now that would be good!!:)

The chap who i was speaking too wouldn't enlighten me on who exactly was trying to buy the tooling but have a sneaky suspician its Sat superstore-a few suppliers said they were buying up all existing stock rapidly they wont sell motors seperate now-only as a comp kit with dish etc

jaeger smr motor can handle a 1.8m dish easily you just have to make bracket to fit the dish and still fit the motor as that is what i had to to get my 1.8m channelmaster dish to fit on my jaeger 1224 motor and there one thing i have notice the jaeger is very under rated motor in true this motor i believe can handle dishes above my dishes weight class

well my motor has been working perfectly fine for the past year plus and from what i can see from the picture something does not look right but what makes my setup even more interesting is the fact i have my jaeger 1224 motor set at max elevation that the jaeger 1224 motor can be set to so i can track the arc which would i believe make the dish even heavier when i move it to the extreme east and west satellite which are 15 and 129 but as i have said my jaeger has been working fine for a year plus

There is the Motek H180, not as well made as the Jaeger 1224, and will require modification to turn it into a EL, but should be possible, if you have the tools, or have a local engineering shop, that doesn't charge too much.
If you have enginnering colleges, in Belgium, it might be worth contacting them and see if they'd help you out, as a project, it might work out cheaper, and they might design something better.

The modification might not be that difficult, all that is required is removing the elevation adjuster and replacing it with a superjack motor.

..... the picture above illustrates perfectly why it's a good idea to fit an added steel bottom strengthening plate if you are going to use these excellent motors on larger dishes especially in exposed areas where high winds are possible....... there's still the possibility of stripping the cogs though with large reflectors and strong gusts. Unfortunately, been there, done that, got the T-shirt.
My two 1224's in service at the moment are only turning a CM1.2 and a 1.2 Gibertini which gives me peace of mind.
Picture shows what can happen, and did happen, to my upgraded 1224 (Jumbo) motor with a 2.2 Precision PF on it .... Mother nature can be a strong enemy when she wants to be.

Excellent motors. "Jumbo" versions have a totally different custom built case with thick steel. In sheltered locations it's good for a CM 1.8m....but in windy, the above can happen....

Think steel? Is that an unwanted autocorrect? I can't even work out what it's supposed to say!
