Thanks to everyone for there help here. I have now contacted the retailer to return the box as I think I have exhausted all avenues.

Can anyone suggest a box that would serve my needs? I want HD, to record, IPLAYER and to pause rewind etc....

Thanks

Humax Foxsat HDR is still the weapon of choice.

Got mine for £225 a few weeks ago having resisted PVRs for a long time.

Excellent piece of kit.

I can echo what Tivù says - I really enjoy using my HDR which I've had for nearly a year and a half now.

I bought one off Fleabay a few weeks ago for a friend in France and it cost £196.55 including postage. It was near new - the batteries hadn't even been put into the remote.

A tip. Go to _http://www.humaxdirect.co.uk and look for Manager's specials which occasonally appear. ATM they have a 320GB HDR for £182.81 plus postage.

Then there are our wonderful supporting advertisers - have a look at their sites.

I agree about the Foxsat. It's a stable box with a sensitive tuner. If I had to fault it I'd say channel could be a bit faster but that's about it.
