Recent/current LG webOS menus seem to be quite complex, and so settings like those are well hidden! On my approx 3yr old LG 42UM7500PLA set (running webOS s/w version 05.30.30), one seems to have to go the following route to select a specific default input: Settings -> Connection -> Device Connector -> then you get a list of 10 possible device icons to be connected! I appear to have previously selected "SET-TOP BOX/OTT", but there are another 9 possibilities (Blu-ray/DVD Player, Home Theatre, Bluetooth/Sound Bar, Speaker/Headphones, Game Console, Smartphone, PC, External Storage, Other Box)! Now, I probably should have previously selected "Home Theatre" because my (Denon) AV rx HDMI output is what is connected to the TV HDMI 2, but it probably didn't matter at the time because nothing was, or is now, connected to the TV's other HDMI inputs - and so the TV's "brain" selects the only one that is connected, which is the one from the Denon. All the other video sources are connected to the Denon's HDMI/other inputs, and so that's where actual source selection is made for all practical purposes! (I bought the Denon mainly because it has 7 HDMI inputs, and most of them are used!). PS: Now I know why I sometimes long for the much simpler menus on older TV's!
