I don't have any Edision receivers, but I do have an Octagon SX88 which may be somewhat similar, and so this is what I do in those circumstances: Manually adding a sat &/or transponder is not done by scanning - point the dish at the sat in question and then lock up and view a channel with a strong signal so that I can be sure the dish is accurately aligned on that sat. Then I would go into the Installation section and lock for the Transponder list and see if there is an option to Add a new one (which my SX88 does), I click on that and enter the relevant transponder parameters and "confirm" that entry. Once that transponder appears in the transponder list, I select that one and then I tap the "Search" button on the screen to enter the scan menu, and then confirm that I want to scan that transponder - at which point the receiver will scan that transponder and hopefully a list of the found transponders will display. I would then exit the menus back the main screen, and tap the TV/Radio button on the remote controlto switch from the TV channels to the Radio ones IN FACT, the latter "tap" might actually be the only thing you need to do because your receiver may have already found those radio channels - but you can't get to them because you haven't tapped that button! PS, and I hope this turns out not to be the case: There appear to be some "underlying design similarities" between Edision and Octagon receivers, and, as discussed in the latest post in the "Old Timer needs system help...." thread - and from my own limited experience - the SX88-series receivers are definitely not at it best on channels with very low Symbol Rates. Certainly they seem to have issues with SR of 1000 or less, but don't know if that weakness is still apparent at SR 1666 - but, if it is, then it may not be possible to get the channels that you want with your current receiver??
