Quick update on the inline boosters, absolute disaster.
Signal went down a lot and the channels i can get at certain times of the day, they went completely.
So lesson learnt, no matter what you try you cannot avoid getting a bigger dish.

Did you fit them the right way round? It looks obvious, but actually can be misleading.

If i connect mine the other way around the signal seems the same- maybe its a relabbelled bandpass filter.

If you are receiving bbc abd itv service then its not the dish and not the cable and you will not need an amp at all. Your skue is off.
You need to twist the lnb a tad clockwise and it should pop in. All the free view are the weakest to receive.

Hi Guys
In the past couple of weeks something strange and great has happened.
I have all the sky sports channels back also National Geographic (all) Sky news is amazingly clear, Comedy channel is back. I even have Sky sports news back, all the Disney channels and the Nick kids channels.
Does any one know why, i have not adjusted anything they just started to come back?

Astra 1N left 28.2E and that was hard to get in Finland. The new 2E seems OK in the south and 2B (easy catch in Finland) is now broadcasting a larger range of channels again while we wait for 2G.

No luck on my 80cm with 2E or 2F so far, but hope to get some of 2G when it's in place, assuming they use the Europe beam. Still enjoying the old satellites while I can.

My sister's 1.25m is OK for 2E Europe, but no signal on 2F Europe.

My parent's 1.8m is OK for 2E Europe but 2F Europe is only just receivable most of the time, not really any margin for rain though.

Obviously none get the UK spot beams.

Do you know when they will start to use the 2G beam, so we know what we can get when all this changing around settles down then stops.

2G launch is already delayed to Autumn, so operation is unlikely before Winter.

Well there is a chance some other satellite might come over to 28.2E but probably just for backup, like Astra 2C. Astra 2A and Eutelsat 28A are also getting old, some claimed they would be gone by the end of last month but they are still going strong...
