All K here obviously. I could give specifics if needed
Thanks, I'll put you down as a 70cm with multi bracket.

Didn't do any fine tuning of the dish, just swapped a KA LNB for the Black Ultra. I would think the Gibby could lock the 11.345V.

Even more impressive. ;)

My Location
East Midlands
Results from Boston, Lincolnshire. Using VU+ Duo, Triax TD110, Black Ultra Single, WF100 coax.

11pm BST, cloudy overcast weather. The dish isn't aligned correctly (quick, rushed usals install).

11.265H AGC: 73% SNR: 66% 10.6db
11.265V AGC: 71% SNR: 64% 10.4db
11.305H AGC: 73% SNR: 66% 10.6db
11.305V AGC: 71% SNR: 64% 10.4db
11.345H AGC: 73% SNR: 65% 10.4db
11.385V AGC: 71% SNR: 64% 10.3db

I could get far better results if I bothered to get the arc setup correctly on the motor. Currently it's peaked for AJ sports on 7w.
I think the signal also changes depending on what day it is.

Thanks for the reports. So for a very approximate guide it's looking like the further west and south of the A1(M) motorway you are the harder it is to get a signal on smaller dishes under 1m or so in the UK.

Yes, a very sharp drop off it seems. A bit like Astra 4A Nordic beam in Ireland.

Yep, these new SES-Astra satellites are getting good at focusing the signal at the desired target with quicker drop off of signals, especially east-west.

Or could the actual footprint stop somewhere in the north sea and the east side of the UK is in a side lobe with the west in a null?

Does that mean that the signal should, in theory, pick up a little west of me? Say Devon or Cornwall?

That's what I was thinking, but there seems to be little interest in the west on this forum. The problem with the UK is there aren't enough people with decent sized dishes (which isn't surprising really given the lack of space and the average higher power of most satellites around here).

I seem to remember a member on here from Devon wasn't receiving anything from SES-5 on his 1.8m dish but not sure if that's still true.

Thanks, added to the map.

Actually, looking at the map, have I said something to offend the Welsh, Scots and Irish?! ;)

Good reception on Channel Master 1.2m dish. In range 60-65%.
Nothing from the 80cm dish.
