I am a newbie , I want also to upgrade to v240 for my starsatsrx550 super. but after I upgrade do i have to search for the channel frequency. before i paid the technician to do this for me. pls. help

hello,

you don't need to call anyone after uploading your software.
You just need to go in menu make backup of the receiver and upload and go back to menu and restore the receiver.

In this way you will keep all your favorites and channels.

It's the first time i tried to updae my receiver. I did all these steps but nothing happend.
Can someone help me please !

I find and it is working fine for SR-X550D Super:

Just rename the .bin in rom.bin and use same directory than for official V240 than upgrade.

Satsw.com has not been updated for a while. You need to visit its mirror, satdw.com.
Download the v365 for your receiver, download the keyeditor v1.2 available in the tools section,and install it on your PC. This editor gives you the possibility to upload the daily tps.bin file or a softcam file in the REG format.
Remember you MUST use the v365 to use the keyeditor. Else, it will not work.

i've Starsat Sr-X550D plus

my reciever shows ( LOAD ) when i turn it on then it shuts of and all things are off even it doesn't respond to power on .. i should unplug the elec. wire and re connect it & have the same sequence

i've downloaded the uploader

with a Rom File ... i have waiting Bab0...when i switch on the Reciever i've

then my reciver become off again

what can i do ??

Repeat the same procedure and keep the receiver ON this time. When the messagge Waiting Boob pops up, then just click ok. The upload process should start.

If it get's fixed. OK. It was a software problem. If not, my idea is that, either you have problems with the RS232xx?chipset or the flash memory, which means that the problem’s getting serious.

hi guys,

Im also newbie here, and i need also help...I tried this steps and untill i reached no. 7 step which is "ON and OFF" the reciever..but nothings happen after that..no progress shown both reciever and my pc..what should i do?....my reciever is x550D ultra ..and im using 550D_Ultra_20080205 from satsw.com....Or if anybody knows the thread answers please give me the links...:)
