Still struggling

Hey guys , i guess this has been asked before but im still struggling !

Although this may seem obvious i still cant get my head around where to put the cams etc on a 7000 (sorry).

I have read that a file can be placed on the DM and it will auto update (yes ,no) the installed cams.

I am using Gemini 2.9.
I have read and re-read the idiots guide and it hasnt sunk in.

Also, do i need to add a web addy to let the box auto update itself if so any idea what hat addy is.

Sorry for sounding thick but i am really struggling here.

AU doesn't always (often) work. ANd not much is clearing at the moment, tps is about it I think?

There is a list of about a thousand keys 007C00 01
I suppose thate those are next TPS keys, but to do with that list ? Can

Yes they all go into the var/keys folder & chmod to 755. Just ftp the keylist in too. You can edit this list with newer aes keys if you know the latest.The list of a thousand keys is ok , the more the better.

I have once again downloaded " Latest all new Keys and Files by KM "
Added the whole var directory to DM via FTP
Restarted Evocamd and nothing ... How this AU thing works ?
( No TPS, no Eurosport )
The technology is that DM goes for keys on internet or it just gets them from this keylist.txt-file ?
I heard that if you use that camd.cfg-file, DM needs to be connected to Internet all the time ? But why it aint working ?

what that thing you mean about chmod 755
Ans: Right click on the file that you have ftp across,scroll down to properties/chmod. Press ok and put in the value 755 to execute it.

Ans: The latest keys will be out of date before you ftp these into your dreambox, as tps are changing their aes keys every 30 mins.
Copy keys to var/keys & scce to var/scce.
Restart cam to confirm changes in the dreambox, or restart enigma,with power button held down for 3sec.

How this AU thing works ?
Ans: They dont work all the time.


If you need to know the latest tps aes keys send me a pm with your e mail add, and I will send you a programme for getting the latest and a aes key list to put them onto. Then you can ftp this list into var/kes to replace the old one. Then you will have tps working again for about 30 mins unless there is an aes key for tps in the list. if not do the exact same again.

Get latest satan bundle. Unzip to your PC. Put the files in /keys into /var/keys. /scce into/var/scce

Use evocamd. This will give you all that is open. If TPS_AES.txt is not up to date then you can find one on many of the sites listed in the Usual Places or JKF.

Don't use AU e.g. camd_cfg, as it is slow and unreliable. Use a week-long TPS_AES.txt that tends to be released on a Friday around lunchtime.

Has anybody noticed this week's AES.txt has been a little unreliable over the last couple of days? Have had to reupload new ones several times. I think one or two key lines are incorrect.

Hi sputnick/alarmeng..this may sound really obvious but when you reboot are you picking a cam from the list so that you can view? if you just have the common interface selected you won't clear much..just a thought!!
