Well we are off to Bransdale, deep in the heart of t'Moors, for a lengthy perambulation and a Picnic of Salmon Sandwiches and Flapjack, so are ardently hoping the rain will hold off until the afternoon, as per every "Forecast" I can find!

The thermometer on the car was reading 3C when I went to work this morning & the ice warning light was on! Its clouded over & warmed up a bit since then, but at least its not raining

At least it's not just me that's cold, and wet, today, both cricket matches abandoned due to heavy rain !!!!!!!!!

I'm still waiting for a good, dry, weekend, to finish off aligning my newish Jaeger 1224 motor, clean the dish, and fit a new LNB, at this rate I might have to wait until next summer, if we have one

Just got back from a grand day out.

Lengthy walk around a Moor clad in glorious autumn colours, notably the purple heather.

Also a bit of a tour around in the car and a visit to the Walled Garden at Helmsley.

Sadly the front right suspension on my car has finally failed and it isn't worth getting any more repairs done, so that means a "new" car very soon.

Widespread flooding around here, the drain clearing and dredging earlier in the year hasn't made any difference.

It hasnt been very warm but there hasnt been any rain at all oop ere today. I got the lawn cut when I got home from work

I'm concerned that one of my Acer tree leaves have turned red which always happens at the end of September and the other is now shedding its leaves. It looks like that cold spell last week may have fooled my trees. And i havent gone on my summer holidays yet, (two weeks to go).

Next door neighbours tree as already started turning brown, and dropping off, it is Autumn !!!!!!!
