22-2-79 is a DLT show so will be skipped. So the next show will be 1-3-79 with Mike Read.

Nazareth & the great Meatloaf are the highlights this skipped week, but thanks to the magic of Vimeo we can still watch it :D

I rather enjoyed this week A nice mix of acts

The Cars (Just What I Neeeded) / The Skids (Into the Valley) / Thin Lizzy (Waiting for an Alibi ) were the highlights for me - with a bonus long forgotten Violinski (Clog Dance)

Oh and seeing Legs & Co doing a weird Pierrot white faced clown routine to Bee Gees Tragedy :D

EDIT:

If you missed it:

Not such a good week for me, although a couple of reggae tracks make a nice change, and a rather good routine from Legs & Co to the s_x Pistols track Something Else

Good to see Motorhead Overkill as well :D

What a great week. Toto - Hold the Line - is it REALLY 35 years since this charted? Thin Lizzy Waiting for an Alibi, the bonkers Lena Lovich again, Into the Valley Skids,

And scourge of the 80s Black Lace... 1979's Eurovision entry and they finished 7th in Jerusalem

22/3/79 is a DLT week so will be skipped but heres the Vimeo link if you fancy watching it anyway :D

Sham 69 Questions & Answers, a VERY young looking Dire Straits with Sultans of Swing, and those wacky guys of the Village People In the Navy. Squeeze Cool for Cats is the other Highlight here for me.

Top tip for a Friday - If you go to the actual vimeo page there is a download link and you can grab the file in case it disappears. I drop them onto the internal hard drive of my despised Duo and play it from there, burning them to dvd via scart ;)

Also helps avoiding the continual buffering we get on our damned awful "broadband"

Finally catching up with some recorded totp's :D

Good to see Racey - Some Girls, & Neil Diamond Forever in Blue Jeans (with Legs & Co wearing some very short blue denim outfits!) and even Sister Sledge Hes The Greatest Dancer

Rather a shame Art Garfunkel Bright Eyes was edited out though. :(

EDIT if you missed it:

About editing at the BBC... There are many music productions that are repeated now and then but apparently sometimes with different versions.

On 18.01.2014 I've recorded 'Guitar Heroes at the BBC'. Today when I browsed through recordings saved on my NAS I saw that I had recorded this episode V already in January 2010. Both versions seem to be identical except the first song.
The 2010 version opened with Alice Cooper 'School' Out' in 2014 it was also Alice Cooper but this time with 'Under My Wheels'

They can also be edited for timing reasons.

The TotP 1979 that is on in a few minutes is 30 minutes but the repeats tonight and early sunday morning are 40 minutes long.
