19/4/79 is a DLT show so got missed.

Cant find this one on line yet. It'll be edited in if it turns up.

EDIT - a partial version of the show is here:

Its missing the chart rundown and Milk & Honey after Gordon Giltrap. ALso the audio is a bit ropey in places.

Not a particularly good week for me but thats not the point - the Beeb should grow a pair & show all the episodes.

Not a great week for me, plenty of reruns of stuff seen in earlier weeks. Although its been a very long time since I heard the slight reggae beat of Eruptions One Way Ticket. And Amii Stewart's Knock on Wood is a decent enough tune for a Sunday morning :)

Im pretty sure #1 Bright Eyes is being edited down to about half its length though :(

The Damned Love Song - incongruous to see one of the guys wearing a fluffy pink and green outfit! He looked like a multi coloured Orville :D

Cavatina from the Shadows is still lovely, and Roxy Music's Dance Away :)

Interesting one to start this show off with - Quantum Jump Lone Ranger. Now I cant remember hearing this one in donkeys years - its obviously not politically correct enough to get played these days......

Chas & Dave was a crap song 35 years ago & still is, Sparks are always fun, & Squeeze Up the Junction is still holding up as a decent enough song.

Sadly this is the first of a 5 week block where we lose alternate weeks , lets hope they get posted on line!

DLT week so skipped. And not available on line yet

Which is a great pity as it was the one and only appearance of Sniff n the Tears Drivers Seat

EDIT - I found it on line - but its been deleted again. :(

Dollar Who were you with in the moonlight, the Dooleys Wanted, Sniff n the Tears and the aforementioned fab Drivers Seat.

However there is one of those awful performances you really dont want to see again - Dame Edna Everidge & a disco version of Waltzing Matilda. Its just horrible! :D

After several fairly static weeks with the same acts appearing we get a change as summer 1979 starts to get into full swing.

Police cant stand losing you, Supertramp Breakfast In America, the rather sweet Judy Tzuke Stay with me till dawn are all good tracks.

For me this week is rather spoiled by the horrible racket that PIL made with Death Disco! :D
