HI GUYS

A forum newbie here. OK. I have a Triax TD78 and multifeed bracket which I want to align on 28.2/19.2/13. Which of these satellites do I need to have the main focus on. All answers welcomed! :)

Welcome! I would align to 19.2 as the middle LNB and have 28.2 and 13 on either side. What kind of bracket is it?

HI. It's the Triax multifeed one (curved aluminium bar) with 3 LNB holders.

If it's like the 4 LNB version I have where you can't quite get an LNB dead centre, I think if I was setting it up I'd put the 19.2 LNB on the left closest to the centre (when standing behind the dish) and align it up to the satellite. I'd then add 28.2 to the far right and 13 to the far left.

OK! That's grand! That's given me something to think about! :)

No, don't, centre on 16efirst and then put 13/19.2 either side of centre with 28.2 far right

Just curious why you'd want 28E to be so much further out? 13E is pretty strong too isn't it?

I don't really need 16 east. All I'm interested in is Sky (28.2), 19.2, 13. That's pretty much it. So by the look of it, I need to align on 19.2.

excollier is just suggesting you first align the dish to 16E and then place the LNBs for your three desired satellites afterwards. This would mean 13E and 19E would be either side of the centre and 28E to the far right (when looking from behind).

This was always the preferred arrangements but these days all three satellites are pretty strong, at least in the south east. I'd prefer to spread the signal between them all, but maybe it's still better to keep 13E and 19E closer to the centre still.

I think the emphasis of the advice we're trying to give is that the Triax bracket doesn't allow you to position an LNB dead in the middle. With a bit of modding you can get it nearer but for the three you are after not having an LNB at dish focus isn't too important. If it were me I'd go for 19E as close to focus as possible.

Excellent info guys! Yeah, I think it would be better to align on 19.2 (prime focus) as 13 east is only 6 degs away and Sky 9 degs. Brilliant. :)
