Cheaper option would be Technomate Mini, think you can get them for about £60.Not sure how good the quality is though.

Hello to all you guys out there, I am new to this forum and would like to know a few little bits of info.
From where I am to obtain BBCs and ITVs your dish should be facing 27.5 west.
I have an acceptable dish 1.3m, BUT, I have a Blade High Definition Sat Receiver BM7000s.
Unfortunately I am not very Tec minded and not to sure how to enter the sat codes, can anyone help me please?

You need to patch the Blade receiver with a suitable firmware and then if i remember to access the Biss menu you type 9992 on the remote control while on a TV channel

Thank you digi247, when you say, you need to patch the Blade receiver with a suitable firmare, can you be a bit more explicit in, patching and firmware what are you refering to?
My tech knowledge is minus as I have never been involved with anything tech like computers TV, I was never brought up with this kind of work, to make matters worse I do not understand most of ths jargen, like firmware, what it refers to and all that.
Sorry for being a bit of a numpty.
I would like to ask another question if I may, when I left the UK I brought my Sky plus HD box with me, as it now belongs to me, but cancelled my Sky account, can I still use this box to get freeview?

Freeview no - you need to understand the differences between the terminology or we end up in all sorts of confusion

Freeview = signals from the UK transmitter masts. Not possible for you obviously.
Sky pay service = the encrypted channels you pay the subs for
Freesat from Sky (sometimes known as FSFS) = the none encrypted channels PLUS a handful of minor channels that are encrypted but not chargable and decypt on expired subscription cards).

I assume you meant the latter one :) And yes the Sky box will work fine for any FSFS channels that you have enough signal for.

Firmware is just the operating software the receiver box runs on.

Different versions give different capabilities. Patched versions often add functionality, like the ability to put keys in.

Before you start BE AWARE if the patching goes wrong you could well ruin the box.

You also need to know that Arqiva who operate the 27.5W BBC channels are well aware of whats going on and sooner or later will change the keys again. Last time the keys changed the signals were blacked out for most folk for several weeks.

You have to do most of this alone - we only allow the most general of help on this topic on this forum.

Anyone know where these channels are uplinked from? There where some thunderstorms around Chilworth/Southampton at about the time of the reported signal losses.

I lost signal briefly while watching the England "friendly" on ITV HD, but it was *tipping* it down with rain.

At least World Cup video should be available from a great many other FTA sources, even if there's no English audio: Some might say that's a blessing in disguise given the utter drivel that passes for Commentary and "Analysis" these days!

Right in time or maybe too early? Bruteforcing the CW doesn't take that long. But how long will it before a leak appears?
