Hello to ALL.
I'm trying to receive TV5 Monde Asia trough ASIASAT 7 3760 H as the power and quality are unstable I was advised to change the LNB, it did not improve! Then I changed the receiver, still no improvement.
I do no more know what to do! May I ask for suggestions?
Best regards to All. Pilipino

My Satellite Setup
OpenBox X5 on a 1 meter motorized dish.
And now a 10 foot "C" band dish.

Custom built PC
My Location
Deep in the Boonies in the central Sierra Nevada mountains of California.
How old is the system (dish and coax) the dish could be out of line, it may need to be tweaked.

The coax if it's old could have a cracked PVC jacket, this would let water in, water can cause BIG problems on the satellite signal to the receiver, if the center conductor is copper plated steel it can also rust, this can also cause a drop in signal, check all connections for corrosion or rust on the center conductor.

Is there anything else in-line from the LNB to the receiver?

A ground block could cause a drop in signal if it has gone bad or has corrosion on the connections, any coax splices in the run of coax? If so then check them.

Do you get any of the other C-band channels with acceptable results??

Its also possible you are suffering from local interference - C-band is under threat in many areas for other uses, especially wifi applications.

Hello Terryl.
Many thanks for your reply. Every things is NEW! Is it possible that the LNB gain is not enough? ( conversion gain 65db. gain flatness 0.5 db/36mhz) the coax is very short just for adjustment of the dish, i'm using my receiver to align the satelitte, I have a good power and quality signal but it goes to 0 and Ok again (Instable)
Best regards

Have you checked with satbeams.com to see if you can receive that satellite at your location?

Try the link below, use the "C" band global footprint, (selected in the pink and purple area at the top of the map) then zoom into your location and click on it, this will give you an idea on the size of dish needed to properly receive that satellite at your location.

Thank you Terryl.
I could see that the C band is OK for my location, the K is not.

Hello Analoguesat. Many thanks for your post. I'm using a 1m80 (6ft) dish.
But since I bought a "NORSAT" lnb very expensive, it avoid the interference, responsible for the problem. IT'S OK NOW.
Many thanks to everybody for your help. Best regards. pilipino

Ah good glad to hear you are sorted.

Unfortunately local interference on C-band is only likely to increase - there are a lot of comms firms wanting the spectrum for their own purposes.
