Finally found some time to check 16E Ka band ..
Seriously deficient signal level to lock Electron..
In fact Seriously low signals all round..
The only channel still lockable for me is Golfe and that's borderline ..dropping in and out ..
Nada on any other frequencies..
I thought maybe Carl had moved but Azam mux on 7E ..also Muvi mux still lockable...as are the transponders I usually lock on 19.2..
Either the footprint has moved a fraction ...or the power overall has dropped ??
maybe time of year and the suns influence on the sat ...maybe the tilt of the earth even ..
Whatever the reason something has dramatically reduced my already fringe reception on 16E Ka..
Have you noticed _any_ degradation at your location Llew ..?
Remember a 1db drop for you could be easily a 2 or even 3db loss here...

Well VS, I only get Golfe today on 16E, locking at 6.4dB max. As with you, the usual on 7E OK.

OK yesterday on 16E - we've been here before on the signal variations due to the capriciousness of Ka reception. No two days the same

Locked Golfe over 9.8db solid
Impact 7db ..unstable lock
No lock on TFM ...LTM ...or indeed any others including the new channel Electron..
All below lock level..
Will we ever understand the variability day to day of Ka..?

You'll be very lucky to get anything from Eutelsat 25 Ka band. Well out of footprint. IIRC, peon has a massive dish in Slovakia.

Indeed Twas I that first discovered TFM had migrated from 4.9 to 16 East ...and Flysat added my find to it's list..
Amazingly when it first migrated I was locking this at 9 or 10db ..but can't even get a lock now..
..and certainly not tonight it having rained all day ...and still is for the most part.

Still not locked Electron yet..
it peaks here around noon at 6.9 db ...
sadly not enough for lock.

there are people/reporters ? in shot atm ..
talking longtitude/latitude amongst other things ..
looks like they are in a hotel room with a balcony ..
camera inside looking out through sliding doors ..
Not sure they even know the camera is actually uplinking their images ..
certainly not behaving as if they know.
