Hi Al,
I am new to here and need some help if you can assist.

Firstly I still have an old 60 cm mesh dish on Roof this has been move slightly due to a sky dish being just below.

My son wants to watch Eurosport which I gather it can be accessed Free in French or some English on Astra 1L.

Also I bought a Quad MTI LNBF unit which was to use for mutli Sky use,

however I want to see if I can set the 60 cm dish up again on a mono block with the MTI LNB and another multi LNB.

Is this possible to use the 60 cm dish or Do I need a bigger One (In Liverpool UK) and set up to receive two or three Satelite , eg Astra, Hotbird etc and then use this to view on two separate recievers?

Regards

A 60cm dish will be fine. If you want Eurosport in English then you will require an old analogue decoder.. This analogue version will close in April 2012 at the very latest.

In digital the German version is the only one available in the clear.

Welcome,

Monobloc LNb's are designed for 80cm dishes although there are reports of them preforming okay on 60cms. You mention another LNb, I think your referring to a multi LNb bracket and for the three satellites, a dish upgrade would be advisable.

Hi
Thank you for replying and so quickly.

I have seen via

that Eurosport is clear on French English as per 17/07/2010, is this not correct?

Hang on let me have a looky

Lets see:

Astra 19E versions in the clear:

10847V - in HD - thats not a full tv channel as theres no audio on it. Probably some sort of data transmission

11259V - thats the analogue PAL version - ceases April 2012 at the very latest

12226H - the German version

12363V - a data channel of some sort.

And thats it as far as I can see..

Eurosport does tend to go clear for occasional weekends when theyhave problems with their encryption but these are few and far between.
