Apps -v- programs. To me an App is a half-arsed barely functioning program whereas a program is (should be!) a proper functioning, err, program. Viz: the Skype app and the proper desktop program. And the Win Mail App - awful compared to almost anything you care to mention.

Am using it as a secondary (thirdary :O) browser on 8.1, ok here, seeing no problems with the updates (security only afaik).

Well, as someone who binned Windows in favour of Linux years ago, circumstance led me to get a Win 10 two-in-one some moths ago.

And as regulars will recall, I find Win 10 to be excellent. No issues at all, and a joy to use.

Likewise this weekend I took the plunge on a recommendation from a family member using this link:- Windows 10 upgrade for assistive technology users
It went very smoothly & I am impressed with the 2nd evolution of W10 unlike my 1st experience where I was not given a choice re browser ect now I can change to what DVD player,
What picture format & pdf ect without W10 overriding my choice so I will stay with W10 as it is a lot better now

Yes, it really is a decent effort.

Works well both in Tablet mode and with a dockable Keyboard.

Rarely use the hard Keyboard, though.

W10 working just fine here with my Desktop,Laptop & Notebook all upgraded from W7.
