I was up OH's allotment this afternoon. No end of weeds in flower up there, even though several sharp frosts have killed off a lot of the tender stuff, and the recent storms have flattened all the bean cages & wigwams....

That looks more like a potato than a Knotweed (the knotweed has more pointy leaves and a red stem with reddish veins in the leaves, and are a barsteward to get rid of), could be wrong though, but get digging the thing up (as in, a few feet down) anyway just incase it is...

The head gardener 'Mrs Ponti' Thinks that it is probably a runner bean.It is only a few inches from where we had them.Whatever it is I was suprised to see it growing at this time of year.
I will be checking it later though just in case.:-)
