My motor (Motek 2100) packed up, so I bought a Dark Motor.

Now taking the dish off my old motor, it looks kinda sorry for itself. The rust has snapped the bracket, etc. - Guess near 10 years living near the seaside hasn't helped.

Anyway, I thought maybe it is time to get a new dish. Have no problems with the Triax, but was wondering if there is a better dish available.
Obviously price may be an issue, but am happy to pay more if it means better/stronger signal, more channels, etc.

Would love to look into getting NileSat (always DIY'd my dish installs & only really bothered looking for 19 & 13) as Football is the only thing I use the dish for.

I am also thinking about maybe swapping out my LNB at the same time. I already have an inverto (cream/white casing), is the Black Ultra worth the upgrade?

So looking for a dish to mount on the Dark Motor.
Maybe I should have searched ebay for a used channel master.. maybe to late for that.

My 1m Gibbertini has been up for 8 years and takes everything the sea can throw at it. The Motek motor will have fallen off its bracket long before the Gib fails. From what I understand it's a lot easier to set the elevation than the Triax which appears to be a test of patience.

My dish is well shielded against a garden wall.
I may look into the gib 1.25 - I understand extra mounting brackets are needed.
Just wondering if its worth the expense - especially as I want to attempt to get 7w for the football if possible.

Triax 1.1 Dish is about £70 local.
Gib 1.25m is about £200 with the extra bracket to attach to the motor.

Dont want to waste £130 trying to get something I cant get anyway.

Which Nilesats are you interested in? Eut 7WA is about the only one you have a reasonable chance with. Nilesat 201 needs huge dishes in the UK, & 102 is somewhere inbetween.

I'm guessing you're after B**n Sports, thats on Eutelsat 7WA, should be an easy catch for you with a larger dish. You probably won't get much rain fade coverage, you'll need a much bigger dish to be ok in the heaviest downpours/dodgy weather at your location.
