YoutubeplayerE1 - a plugin to watch Youtube videos with 600pvr and 7020

so i guess this plugin doesnt work properly on the 7020 or 7000?
and only works on the 500?
ive tried both files on my 7020 the one for the 500 and the one for the 7020 and both give me just half a screen.ian.

I have the same problem.
Dm7020 tested with nabilo, sif team and edg nemesis, on pc Vlc 0.86a and 0.86h
Only half screen video.

With 600pvr and the same pc, all ok!

There is a 7020 problem.

just tried the E1 version for all dreamboxes and the problem still remains.
only half a screen on the 7020.ian.

Something strange - but probably quite simple !

Unfortunately I do not have a 7000 or 7020 to test. It seems to be ok on the 5620, 500 and 600pvr.

Three questions :-

(1)Is the picture ok with vlcf ?

(2) And with Stream2db ?

(3) Have you tried changing the parameters (width, depth etc) in the sout command (in the .xml) ?

(1)The picture with Vlcf is perfect.

(2)I have installed Stream2db downloaded in this forum but when I start the plugin I give this error "Plugin Loading failed"


(3) I have modified sout section with this line

1 picture is perfect with vlcf

2 picture is perfect with Stream2db

3 makes no difference.picture still remains on just the left half of the screen.ian.

That is good. I am using the same code as in Stream2db. so I will check where the difference is.

With the 7020 - can you please give telnet commands :-

killall rcS
killall enigma
enigma>/tmp/enigma.log 2>&1 &

Then - run the Youtubeplayer E1 plugin and post the file /tmp/enigma.log. Delete the stuff before the plugin start - you will see in the log.

With the 7000 - do you have the devices /dev/pvr or /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0 or /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr1 or /dev/misc/pvr ?

A possible solution to the 'half picture' problem - please try :-

Change AV Settings 16:9 to 4:3 letterbox !

Someone in ihad found it worked !

On my 600 or 5620 I cannot reproduce this problem - something special with the 7000 setup. It works for some people - also with the 7020 is apparently ok.

Today is out youtube player plugin final, but the 7020 problem is not solved...

tested this new version with nabilosat,gemini and boxman on the 7020.half a picture on all images,so i dont think its an image problem.also tested with vlc 0.8.6 and 0.9.8,still the same.
this is deffo something in the coding thats not working correctly with the 7020 as all other plugins work fine even vnc viewer,but this does have scaling problems with the picture either being too big or too small.
i hope PCD can find a solution for us 7020 owners soon.ian.

I may confirm the "video half screen problem " on my DB 7000

Nabilo, gemini, Nemesys ....


I may add that the damn half screen came out when the source video in Youtube is 320x240 resolution ( If I download on PC it and play it via vlcf is OK ! )

If the video source is 480x270 resolution then in Youtubeplayer is OK and also , of course, in vlcf.

Seems that the sout="#transcode{vcodec=mp2v,vb=1024,width=704,height=576,acodec=mpga,ab=192,channels=2}:duplicate{dst=std{access=http,mux=ts,ttl=6,url=:9090/dboxstream}} --sout-keep" />
is not used as needed to convert the width and the height of ther video
