OK, perhaps LNB will not burn in flames, but, on sunny day, depending on dish size and it's surface, plastic will melt easily. And to rest antenna at 30*W position which is 10* elevated at my place, anyway I will need to move antenna manually or turn on some channel from 30*W. Sometimes, even in October intensity's of sun could be enough to give "tan". And what if I forget to move antenna to 30*W? I usually keep it rested at 28,2*E, than possibility to make hole in LNB much higher. TBH, I already have 2 LNB's with burned holes.

Edit: Even aluminum is melting _http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TM1dYypgCE

Picked up my 1,8m PFA painted today. It is powder-paint, and matted, so no chance for sun-burn. For transporting I've made 4 small holes in the edges of mirror and attached 2 planks. Would like to have this dish installed by the end of summer.

I just don't buy it. I've seen thousands of LNBs down here where the sun is at much greater elevation, the sky is always clear, and the rain never falls, and I've never seen an LNB like that except after a fire.

Got 12mm X 2mm INOX pipes. Hole is big enough to lay coaxial cable. Will try to do similar as SATAN antennas have when all the cables are inside LNB holder. Friend of mine says this is "понты" (can not translate it, maybe CJ can ), but I think this is good idea.

Er.... I don't actually know what понт is but a picture is enough of a translation :)

Can I slap you?

I need some conduit of some sort to pipe the cables from the end of the garden into the house as well.... those pipes look like a tidy idea.

So if I understand correctly, each pipe can take only one cable?

Will you lay more than you presently need, to allow for alteration/expansion in the future?

I am doing that for PFA, that means not more than 2 LNBs (C and Ku). 2 pipes will be occupied and one in reserve.
Just today I've got my pipes male-threaded with 12mm 1,25mm thread (little bit not standard and not so easy to get nuts, but instead of cutting metal 1,75mm it cuts for only 1,25mm).Thread (Custom).JPG
And if I do not insert cable right now, I can do that at any moment later, hole is 8mm and cable usually only 7mm.

This is new holder for T90, all INOX. Outer pipe size is 60mm, and there is another pipe inside welded, to make construction stronger.
Bolts are 12mm.

I would like to do more myself, but without proper tools can not do a lot. So, I mostly generate ideas, looking for necessary parts and organize execution :). I also have some friends who help me. However, I am in process of buying welding apparatus.

Removed some antennas today and have new hook installed. T90 will go on it, maybe this weekend. By doing that T90 will not stay on the way to western satellites for polar-mounted 1,5m PFA, and there is chance to go little bit western than 30*W. That painted 1,8m will also be removed and hanged on the wall, nice picture, I like it

I also have idea to change 1,5m PFA by 1,8m aluminum PFA, however, lack of time prevents me to implement all ideas.
