My Ajaks as well as another parts all collected and stored at my friend's place. Do not know when I will install everything, perhaps not so soon :(

Hi! Can somebody recognize this motor? I need to do more reading about it as I got offered one for very attractive price.

You'll have more motors than dishes at this rate.

Eah, motors... motors
Finally got new stand for FIBO antenna (also with motor ), but missing couple of small metal bits. Need some advice how to make them out of nothing?P1300829 (Large).JPG P1300822 (Large).JPG P1300831 (Large).JPG

OK, while this Fibo90 fastening issue exists, put Fibo120 on. Man, it is huge and kinda big for a balcony, it left no space for me to squeeze by it. I understand that will not be able to motorize this dish on that stand on this balcony. Just want to point antenna to weakest satellite available (perhaps 7*W) and then start testing different LNBs on it. Or, even if I motorize it than for small piece of arc, like 7*E-12,5*W.
Do not wish to lift antenna higher, commune does not appreciate SAT-antennas installed at all, so I should be as low as possible.

Yeah the Fibo is larger than you think... Certainly larger than the 1.2m Channel Master

Weather is fine today, spent some time on balcony. In one word- satisfied. Got piece of arc from 12,5*W till 28,2*E (perhaps from 13*E eastwards getting balcony construction as obstruction). But main thing I got 7*W and 11*W clear, so can do come experiments in the future on weak signals from 7*W and also on C-band from 11*W. Scanned 7*W and got 911 services on 55 transponders with signal levels 37-56%. Will also do more tweaking to be sure antenna exactly follows arc.

I find it quite satisfying trying to get as much as I can out of a limited space on a balcony setup. It adds to the challenge. Mind you, it's also frustrating in other respects knowing you could do more if there was just a bit more space...

Theoretically, if I make pole extended by some 60cm I could get arc 24,5*E (maybe even 30*E) - come 55*E or so. But then antenna would be dangerously visible to everybody from outside which potentially could lead to complete removal of antenna. In that case I would prefer shorter arc

Was I drunk that day? Unbelievable! Should be read: If I extend pole I could, theoretically, get arc 30*W-55*E

Added 31,5*E to list of receivable sats. My arc now is 31,5*E-12,5*W. Also made a little movie ( 43 M) how it moves from 31,5*E to 12,5*W, downloadable HERE just push button "Lejuplādēt" which means "Download"

That looks like a different revision of the motor from what mine was.

Fooooood! Nice..

What was the dish for? You already have a 1.2m Fibo on the balcony.

Well done on the win. I bet we (Russia) will lose to Finns tomorrow :-doh

Dish was for official receiving Viasat Latvia, Tv3 channel, just to see hockey game. Unfortunately (for me) I have much more dishes than I able to physically install, so this one was one of the cellar-stored ones.
You (Russia) of course, can win, and not only tomorrow. Russia's team, as always, has very good potential.

Oh dear - Finns aren't having a good time at this year's competition. A very bad tackle from the Russians, though, sending one player away on a stretcher!
