Gents, Finally found the time to open the box. C201 on the PSU is indeed a 2200uF 10V Electrolytic Capacitor and compared to those surrounding it the end cap is noticably swollen. I shall obtain a replacement for said component and change it over. Thanks for the help. Allan

Thank you for the suggestions. I have disconnected the cable and switched the unit on. There was no display but again the blue light around the OK button came on. Does the short-circuit protection reset automatically? Llew ,is there anyway of confirming whether this capacitor has failed ? Allan

I noticed that my box which is normally left on standby had the display showing all 00.00 . I turned off @ the power switch and then turned it back on. The blue light around the OK button is on but the display is blank and there appears to be no signal. Help please, what can I do? Allan

It is generally known that "Five" is now FTA.There are 2 other "Five" channels listed in the TV mags. Fiver and Five US. Does anyone know if these are going to be FTA ? and what about the Freesat channels that don't seem to come up on the Fortec Channel lists. Are they available ? Allan

I believe I followed these instructions but did not get any thing Channel 5 . Is there something missing? I tried saving after the scan but still no Channel 5 Allan

I've not used it yet but I downloaded from the Fortec site what I presumed was a program for editing the Channel lists on a PC and then loading that into the STB. Editing on the PC should be easier than move and swapping via the remote. Allan
