thanks for all info- I was just frustrated that the only way I could get the proper channel list was by uploading Brian's- rather than getting the box to acquire them itself from a scan- Ind I don't think I understand why. It's fine now with Brian's list off the stick but if I didi a fctory...

All this discussion, and Brian/Tivu points scoring, begs the question- when will Freesat update their channel database so that a factory-reset-scan will produce a correct list? On another subject, I replaced a 330 √F capacitor in my Passion+ when it died last week- an 88p repair. Hurrah!

Brilliant, Brian. I noticed that the BBCi streams were blank- not even those voices saying "THREE AUDIO ONE" and so one! Is the Ch list in the Sticky now up-to-date? J

worked at last. It was selecting the system update file as the channel list file. Doh! All working except BBC News which stopped working last week. This is a shame.

Thanks Brian for your time and efforts. I, too, wondered whether I'd done a write instead of a read and I had- but still have had no luck. I've done many factory resets in the last two days. I'll stop now! Will try again tonight. All the best

yes- tried again and interrupted the update screen- to no avail. It even knocked out BBC HD and certainly no sign of the long lost BBC1HD which I haven't had on my screen for months.

Tried that after posting to no avail. I'll have another go.

main reason for asking is that it appears to upload into the box, "burn" etc, and the STB restarts- and does the "two minute update"- and then the channel list is the same as before.....

I downloaded Brians channel list to cure all these problems but I'm not sure how to upload them into the STB. Can someone help?
