PS I've just noticed that if the DSB31 is powered up without being connected to a dish, then it stays on, no problem. As soon as you connect the dish, and it gets a signal, it drops into standby... Neil

Hi Brian.. Location is SW london, dish is std 45cm minidish with quad LNB. Default transponder is set as 11.778 Vertical Dish may be slightly obscured with vegetation, but I can cut the ivy etc back tomorrow if any has grown since I last hacked it back, - so that may improve reception...

Yes, but I also have a couple of digiboxes that don't have any FTV cards. If paying £10 registration & £4 for one night, gets a digibox back up and receiving the original FTV channels, then maybe thats a better option than more waiting for something more official to happen, - its already almost...

Ah ha.. That's the question... In what respect are they useable? I'm guessing that you can use them to watch normal broadcasts as with a standard digibox, and to record onto the hard disk manually? ie not by being able to do a timed record. I guess you can also use them to start recording...
