The mount is not noisy however their is a couple of points to observe
1. Do not use on a dish bigger than 1.2 it will break on a 1.8!
2. The reed sensor can give some positioning errors due to wear on the gears after a short period of time 1-2 years

I would confirm that in Europe (Belgium) on my 3.8 Mtr I have never seen 61.5West and I do have a clear view to the horizon and I have several very expensive feehorns includer circlar polirization and PLL lnbs.

C band on 68.5 east muiltichoice - can be received in most areas of the UK on a high specification /quality solid 1.8/2.0 mtr mtr prime focus with an ADI feedhorn with a 15 k lnb.
In Beligum W4 East is ok on a 3.8 mtr with ADI C 400 feedhorn and PLL LNB

To receive nilesat Horizontal transponders you will dependent upon your location require a minimum of a 1.8 mrt and idearly a 2.4 mtr with both a professional feedhorn and LNB.

Normally when you have just the rotation on the screen during boot up of the Echostar 3660 it is due to corruption of the recievers software.
When you downloaded the new software did the installation complete normally?

For those that are interested in receiving some USA bound signals there are approx 160 channels from the following satellites ( Please note that many are Latin Beamed channels!

What are you hoping to recieve ?
A 7.0 mtr dish could cost easily £20,000 for a high quality dish.
Some times second are availible however transport cost are very high! - up to 5K dependent on location.

Actually there are many DVD players in the USA that will actually play either a recorded region free or a region 2 coded disc.
Pioneer USA DVD have a "remote" region code that will allow the playback of region encoded discs - output will be NTSC from the player.
