Power Vu Afn Decoder does anyone have good conections to american army to get one?

Slightly OT, I noticed last week that BFBS (the UK equivalent of AFN) now show some Sky programming. The most interesting (to me anyway!) was the fact they show The Daily Show - even on their Navy service. I'd be surprised if AFN show that! ;o) ...EDIT - AFN *do* show it, well I never!

    Dishes on holiday

...satellites and Ariane rockets on their hols? :) FYI: These pics were taken by moi in Seville at one of the many disused parts of the former Expo site.

GPS forum, yay! Love my phone GPS!

Well, I've got an N73 now and with whatever firmware is on it now it is more stable than my old 6630. Most of the N Series range (and E Series IIRC) have excellent free GPS software from Nokia. On my N73 I have Nokia Maps (free sat-nav with additional pay-for features) and Sports Tracker...

    Rayman Raving Rabbids

I've still not had a go on it but I know my nephews' completed it and are excited by the news of a sequel. Should be getting Mario Strikers in the next couple of days. I'm excited about that! ;o)

    Fortec Beta on the way....

Llew, that site drops support of many boxes quite quickly. I've had a Lifetime Diamond and a couple of Ultimates and once anything other than a simple key change happens the box becomes next to useless (the only saving grace of these Fortecs IMHO is the "free" channels while they last)

    Rayman Raving Rabbids

My nephew has got it and him, his brothers and their sister all love it. I've yet to try it though. I'm doing a bit of babysitting later so I'll see if I can get a go! If I do, I'll report back. They've also got Wario Ware Smooth Moves, which I've played (and think is fairly similar) - I...

    Fantastic Documentary "Spin"

I agree it's a great film. I saw a few years ago, and I've still got it on a DVD somewhere. It was (is?) available to download in good quality (not great, as the source material - the feeds off of presumably a VCR?) from a website which I think was connected to the maker(s). I think it was...

UK police raid Blackburn pubs and seize satellite equipment

Last month I had two police officers come to my apartment just after 11pm because of music I played for less than an hour and which finished before 11pm. The music was at a moderate volume and I'm the only person in the block with carpeting. About half an hour earlier I ignored a single buzz...

    Satellites and TV licensing

I know how you feel - that's why I didn't waste my time digging around the bowels of TVL's website to "prove" what I said... :) U-zzz

    Satellites and TV licensing

I could go and find the evidence for you, but then you could find it yourself. I already know what the situation is and I don't believe it's changed recently. ;) Also, there's an anti-licence forum out there that has some clued up members (some are a little scary though!)

    Satellites and TV licensing

That is definately fact. There's absolutely no legal requirement for a licence if a TV isn't being used to watch TV broadcasts. The evidence should be somewhere on TVL's website (although they might've buried it somewhere deep inside!)

    Satellites and TV licensing

Their warning letters now even include PCs and mobiles in the list of items that require a licence. It's very vaguely worded (like all communication with them) and would seem to suggest that any mobile or PC is in need of being licenced which we all know isn't the case. We all know a PC...

Virgin Media (former ntl/telewest) set to remove sky channels

My sister is a really gadgety person and a technophobe at the same time. She has a TomTom, big screen LCD, WiFi, VAIO, Nintendo DS, DVDR/DIVX player and Freeview yet she can't grasp the difference between analogue and digital. I believe they told her she would get analogue but it went straight...

Virgin Media (former ntl/telewest) set to remove sky channels

They installed a crappy old analogue box at my sister's. There was less choice than on Freeview and the picture quality was very bad (even for analogue cable!) To top it off she had the TV, phone and broadband package and was paying more than those customers with digital cable (and the NTL guy...

    Some fleabay sellers are stupid!!!

I've just received a fake Nokia battery off of a seller on eBay. It was very cheap and I guess that should've set alarm bells ringing but occasionally you do get a genuine bargain so I took a punt. Anyway, it didn't come in Nokia packaging, it didn't even come in any packaging other than a...
