@Ratchet I currently have the 7th July 08 version V1.0.2 I found that the later versions caused problems such as no preview on EPG and an inability to hold a Favourites selection.

Thanks Ratchet I have the HD Passion+ and the latest firmware for that is July 7th 2008 which I have installed. I did try the Passion+ HD firmware until I realised it was a different STB :confused: "Let's find a way to confuse customers"

A couple of weeks ago my HD Passion+ decided to crash and reboot on selecting BBC HD. I have tried the reload of firmware etc as outlined above with no luck. I don't currently have an HD TV so no great loss at the moment. Has anything changed on BBC HD to cause this as nothing has changed on my STB.

Hi Tony The file I mentioned is not for my box. Fortec confuse things by having 2 HD passion boxes, one + and one not. The October download appears to be for the HD passion NOT the HD Passion+. I have tried downloading and installing it a few times and each time it screws up features on my box...

Thanks Howard but unfortunately I can't get anything on 7 day EPG. The 31st October firmware upgrade on Fortec Star's site, supposed to fix this problem, is for the Passion+ HD, I have the HD Passion+ which fails with the aforementioned update. However I will leave the box on 7 day EPG overnight...

Hi Andrew. Yes I have used the timer facility with success. I did format the drive Fat32 using the Passion+. Have you tried recording a short piece (1 minute+) on a USB Memory Stick in the front USB socket. You could try a format on that to see if it works. Dick BTW Recording less than 30...
