I am directly South of you about 100K North of Munich.
Signals definitely down.
On 2F lose ITV1 HD (but pick up UTV... Although last night that just about died at the end of the football. Didn,t check CH4HD or CH5 SD but usually hold them.... Just.
On 2E still OK although signal down.... But I...
So looks like UK spot 1.50 > 1.25 (makes sense on weaker signal)
PE spot 1.25 = or slightly < 1.50 (again strong signal .. not much to improve)
So as I have just ordered a Gibby 1.50 .... hope I can improve on my Gibby 1.25 in my fringe area !!!
@supermagagnosc ....... very interesting, but what conditions were the 1.5 Gibby test run in??? As I would like to compare to one with the 1.2 tables.
Figures would indicate 1.25 better than 1.5?????
Here gusty winds hitting dish. 100 km NW of Munich
HD channels broke at 19.00 but by going to bbc 1 east and bbc2 wales or scotland stayed with good signal 7dB all night apart from blips when the wind rocked the dish
however BBC 3 & 4 too poor to live with!
So really on the edge for SD 7 x 24...
Does anyone have a clear picture of what transponders/frequencies have actually moved and where? (because of King of Sat etc certainly don't)
If there is a list would love to see it ... apologies if its on the site somewhere!
07.00 Can only pick up BBC 1 and 2 via regional channels... they are coming in strong (6.8dB ) ref BBC1 and BBC2 SD are at 6.2dB (too low) they are pixielating heavily.
HD channels dead.
ITV 1 HD is massive (16.2 dB)
So end of the day summary....
BBC HD lasted 7 -> 19.00
BBC SD lasted 7 -> 20.00 although after 20.00 it never lost signal, but picture was pixielated (sound was OK)...
Weather - clear cold skies.
So in good conditions, a gibby 125 is just on the edge, about .5 dB short of retaining good picture.
@Gigioman, at 20.30 lost BBC HD (19.00) but still (just) surviving on SD! The Sky box shows about 20% signal (the E2 boxes show 6.5dB 39%/65% which is sitting on the limit! So much for Sky!!! Although I have to say Sky tuner is coping better...... can't be right!
So I am about 60 mins North of...
At 6.45 CET couldn't find the HD channels and SD was at 6.8dB.
Since dropping my wife at the station, HD channels have come in at 7.3dB and the SD channels now at 7.5dB
pictures and sound solid both on my Sky box and Enigma receivers.
Ch4HD on 2F is pixilating heavily (6.5dB), so 2E is stronger...
The DRX890 is the better box from a space usage view and the tuner is as good as my Enigma boxes.
e.g if you upgrade to a 2TB disk (its amazing where all the space goes with families recording!) and it's easy to replace the original disk ... even I have done it!
DRX890 - 1750GB for personal...
Yes, I think the 150 is the correct solution (to give bad weather coverage), but will see how it goes over the next few weeks and perhaps up to Astra 2E going operational.
If I go to the 150, I will setup the 150 on the garage (which I can do by myself including alignment) and run both in...
Maybe the Kathrein is worth the money....... everything is up compared to the previous Chess/Spaun multiswitch, at a time when things are normally going down for me!
I guess I will sleep on it and check again tomorrow.
Damn!
I get a 10% improvement on signal quality on bypassing the multiswitch. e.g CH5SD was 9.3dB now 10.4 dB without multiswitch.
Guess I will now try the Kathrein...... after I walk the dog!
