DishTV Zenega CD1004is Problem.

I have a zenega CD1004is receiver ( soft ver 4.72 ), in which i am receiving 11038 H signal ( 65 % ) , the home transponder ( 12688 V ) and all other frequencies are 2% to 3% percent signal quality. I tried resetting to factory default. Now that there is no signal on home transponder( ie 12688 ) i cannot tune or rescan. Someone told me its software problem, so i have to download software from another same type of working receiver. I did that ( using RS-232 null cable ) But the problem remains.
I confirmed that my LNB and Cable are ok by connecting the working receiver, it was receiving over 65 % signal on all frequencies. To my surprise the working receiver also showed the same problem as my receiver ( no signal on any frequency , except 11038 H ). I restarted it twice and it got back signals on all transponders. But my receiver still not receiving any transponders except 11038H after many restarts and trials at different places. What could be wrong? Anyone has a solution for this ?? Thank U ..

If you suspect so, which capacitors would you suggest to change ? thanking you

No idea - never even see one of those receivers

Take the cover off and have a good look for bulging or leaking capacitors around the power cables.

However if one is going chances are they are all failing to some degree or other.


The capacitors are the cylindrical items with T or K embossed into the top. The tops should be perfectly flat.

Keep your fingers well clear of the motherboard!

Hi ... i checked the MB and did not find any bulging or leaking capacitors... I changed the home transponder from 12688 V to 11038 H, by using 9523 key... i'm now receiving channels on that frequency ( around 10 to 12 Channels ) ..

No one here ?????
