Sold Precision 1.2m, 0.9m, Channel Master 1.2m, FortecStar 1.5m

It's time for a clear out! I have far too many dishes in the garage that will not get any use, so I need to get rid of them. I'll keep them on here for a few weeks but if there are no biters, then they'll be going on eBay.

None of the dishes include mounts or back brackets - what you see is what you get!

To start... FortecStar 1.5m (W: 150cm H: 170cm). Bought this recently along with a Jaeger 1224 motor, which is now gone but won't be using this dish for anything and it's taking a lot of space.



The dish is good condition but all of the bolts need replacing as they are very rusty. The back bracket has been designed to fit the above-mentioned 1224 motor but it should be easy enough to fabricate an appropriate mount.

It's quite heavy at 25kg and you'll need a van to transport it.

Price: £50

Next... Channel Master 1.2m dish (W: 120cm H: 135cm). Have been using this until recently but is now surplus to requirements.



Again, no brackets or mounts included but a good and quick upgrade for those with a 1m CM.

Will fit in a large estate car or on roof bars.

Price: £40

Next... Precision 0.9m dish (W: 90cm H: 90cm). Never used it but came with a Jaeger 1224 motor, which I am using on my Gibertini 1.5m dish, so surplus requirements.



It has an Invacom SNF-031 C120 LNB attached to the Ku feedhorn, so will include this.

Price: £30

Continued... Precision 1.2m (W: 120cm H: 120cm). I got this dish from rolfw's friend along with a very heavy duty polar mount, which I am keeping. However, this dish is surplus to requirements again, so it has to go.

Price: As I got the dish for free, I don't want to charge anyone for it. However, I don't want to give it away either. So, the dish is free to collect BUT I would like a £35 donation to a charity of my choice.

I still have another 1.2m Channel Master to get rid of but that's provisionally sold to a forum member. I am also keeping the 1m CM and my Penta 85. So... no shortage of dishes remaining!

90cm Precision has now been collected. The guy wanting to buy the 120cm one is messing me about, so can do without.

The 120cm Precision is still for sale... I am taking the price down to NOTHING, as long as you collect and it goes to a loving home.

I can vouch for the Fortec 1.5 ..
Mine was bought 2nd hand and fully re-furbed ..
I was NOT disappointed.
Works well in C Ku and Ka ..but had to build an exoskeleton to carry the weight of multiple lnbs at the focus..
It's only real flaw is that the boom arms transfer the weight directly to the edge of the reflector ..
thus the need to shift this weight to the rear circular bracket.
For a single lightweight lnb ..
in Ku ..no probs.

Someone got a bargain imo..

The FortecStar dishes are made by Jonsa of Taiwan.

That is one of their good ones.

Why they also manufacture some dishes made from toilet paper is anyone's guess.

The guy who collected it seemed a bit clueless, sadly. He said he wanted it for "Nilesat", though he certainly won't get everything on a 1.5m dish in London.

Oh well....
