I have asked before, but customer requires absolute confirmation that his 42 inch Freesat unit has no DiSEqC function within it.

I can then supply a dedicated receiver to drive his dual feed dish outside for 19 and 13 east transmissions

Thanks .

Does your customer already own the Panasonic? Is it a TXL42FT60B? I have not been able to verify the presence of built in DiSEqC functions in that particular model. However, I have found that similar models such as the TX-L42DT60 seem to have such capabilities. I understand the preferences of your customer, being very pleased with having the satellite receiver included in my Philips TV (it also has DiSEqC functions, even though I am not presently using it). If your customer already has purchased the Freesat TV, why don't you try it out to see if you can install the DiSEqC switch?

What do you mean by 'the' DiSEqC switch ?

Customer has had his freesat television for about four years, I will get the model number later today.

I thought you wanted to connect a switch in order to connect two LNBs?

Absolutely not, I have already combined the UHF and satellite signal(s) via a diplexer in reverse outside, down the single cable that runs to the television (not installed by myself) and this is connected on the other side of a brass wall plate that I cannot change. So to add anything else in line such as switching is likely to compromise one or other frequency.

I'm not even sure if DiSEqC switches can pass low band UHF signals meaning any switch would have to go after the outside diplexer, and the tone switching would also have to pass through two UHF bandpass filters to reach it.

So, does the TX-L42DT60 have DiSEqC switchng capability in the TV's satellite tuner or not ?

My five year old TH - 42PZ81B does not have DiSEqC

Have you tried some of the AV magazines - their reports might say whether the TX-L42DT60 has DiSEqC

Not as yet, but since this is the Freesat version, I'm not holding out much hope.

Have a look at this: https://www.azone.ch/file_download/download/48525/Panasonic-TX-L47DTW60.pdf

Its in German though, but if you search for diseqc. Its round page 60. The TV can do diseqc 1.0, but in order to get to the diseqc menu you will have to select, what kind of antenna system youve got.

The model in question is the TX-P42G10B

The 'P' I assume, stands for plasma. The earlier manual undoetunately is completely different to the one with the television, so unless there is a hidden menu it looks like a stand alne receiver is required for dual satellite operation.
