Usually, this hovers around 17-18dB but today it's 20dB and possibly more... Anyone else seen this?

Odd - and now it's gone back down to 18dB... Very cloudy here - maybe some odd weather phenomenon?

Edit: and back to 20dB.. confirmed with my PCI card too.

OpenBox X5 on a 1 meter motorized dish.
And now a 10 foot "C" band dish.

Custom built PC

It could be some of those "Dark Matter" clouds, pulling you closer to the satellite, or some "Gravitational Lensing"....Or the wind is blowing that big fat bird off your LNB, but he keeps coming back.

Anything is possible after a few swigs of scotch.

After looking very close at that photo I see your problem, the Moose (bottom right corner) is too close to the TV set and his antlers are boosting the signal.

When I was a young-un, I thought that strategically placing small magnets hear an indoor UHF aerial would increase signals - they didn't.

Surely as it's a food programme wouldn't a mousse be more effective?

I wonder if our friends in Spain and those generally outside the footprint are getting stronger signals...

Ah, only 15dB on that 11W TP for me and I remember the 4124L TP on 5W being quite strong ... but it's barely locking now.
