You should aim to get the best possible signal on the satellite closest to your longtitude which will depend on your location. I just used Thor though and my system works beautifully.
You must ensure
The pole is 100% vertical
That you fixed the dish to the motor centrally
Move the dish up and down / left and right until best signal is achieved
Give it another go but if you can't get it before dusk just temporarily fix your system to hotbird so at least you have something to watch. Go to *****.co.uk and get the patch for your receiver and weather permitting get it spot on over the weekend.
