My history with pop started with a single of Alice Coppers School's Out with some money borrowed funds from Pater in 1972, and then they saw the act three weeks later on Top of the Pops, complete with epee, make up, dubious leather get up and young women. Needless to say the single 'vanished' from my small collection rather quickly.
Then I started listening to Capital Radio, Nicky Horne was probably the most memorable.
