Looking at Google I have found (I hope I have) a site where I can download the latest patch for my Technomate receiver.
As a test I have downloaded the file but realized that it is zip
and here - I get stuck - already.
I thought that by linking the cable from the laptop to the receiver I would have more luck - but (probably not). I have also (NOW) realised that the laptop has a 15pin female socket while the Technomate is a 10pin male socket.
More confused on how 10 pin can actually work on a 15 pin.
ANYWAY - how does one download and upgrade the patch on a satellite receiver? please ! remembering that I don't really know what to do with a zip file (it opens with a lot of crap and it is not an .EXE file).
