My System: Triple Dragon with HDD/USB stick, Dreambox 8000, Humax HDCI2000, Echostar AD3000ip & SR8700, Aston Simba, RSD ODM300. Swedish Microwave 1.2 Motorised dish / Invacom C120 twin LNB driven by the AD3000. 3 other fixed dishes.

Test pattern generator plugin for TripleDragon
--------------------------------------------

This plugin can create various testpattern to correctly setup the attached
display device (Beamer, CRT-TV and so on).

Grids
-----
Square grids are available in red, green, blue and white on a black background.
Such grids can be used for checking the geometry.

NOTE: Grids are currently not NTSC-safe (shows rectangles instead of squares)

Staircases and ramps
--------------------
Can be used to check the grayscale and color reproduction. Colors are generated
as defined by the EBU (European Broadcast Union).

Testcards
---------
Various testcards are available:

SMPTE: Primary used in 525 line systems like NTSC in America. The pluge test is adopted to meet the requirements of CCIR-601 (super-black at zero, black at 6.25% luminance and near-black at 13% luminance).

PM5544: This testcard is used around Europe in PAL-Systems. Originally it is
generated by a hardware device called PM5544 manufactured by Philips.

This software implementation can not reproduce the frequency checks (the vertical white/dark grey lines above the greyscale correctly.

Originally this are sinewave carriers, which produce smooth white-grey transients. In this implemtation they are drawn as white/black lines.

Note: in 16:9 mode, this implementation simply ingreasethe number of vertical lines as the Philips PM5644, but does not add the additional elements.

FuBK: This testcard is mainly used in some european countries, but mainly in Germany. Originally it was generated by a hardware device developed by
the company Telefunken. As for the PM5544 card, this implementation does not correctly reproduce the frequncy check area. Additionally the two big squares in the lower right of around the circle are always grey. This two fields in the analog world are used to calibrate PAL-decoders - the signal in this area has defined phase-errors and the PAL-decoder should be able to restore the oiginal phase.

SECAM: The real name of this testcard is unknown, but it was used (with some variations) in the eastern europe countries until the end of the cold
war including in the former USSR. This version reproduce the testcard
from the former GDR except showing the current time in a strange font.
