Was that a bullet in their foot I just saw? This is going to be REALLY unpopular. I personally build refurb. PCs at work, and often they rarely deviate from the original spec system, so that means the original system is intact and therefore the ORIGINAL licence can be reused on that system, but if Microsoft say we have to replace the licence with a totally new one, well, I think they're heading down the sh*tt*r with that...
I'm glad I'll be leaving Microsoft's grip once XP loses it's support from them, this it just plain stupid...
"Companies don't know what to do with their old PCs, so they collect dust in the company cafeteria or stack up in the hallways," |
That is utter b*llsh*it, companies who have upgraded their systems bundle them up and sell them off to companies who then sell them to computer businesses like where I work who then clean the systems up, test them, using the system's existing and legal licence, and sell them to people who need cheap cost effective systems, so that Hani Shakeel is telling us a bunch of lies. Admittedly there are SOME companies who still have 286 XT PCs lying around, but that's their problem...
