Variable signal quality on Hotbird high frequencies | | Installed a 2nd fixed dish just to get JSTV on Hotbird at 12597V. After getting no signal quality at all on this frequency on my new reveiver and old LNB (was fine with my old receiver) I added a new LNB. This now gives me a variable signal quality of 0-99% with signal strength of about 75% which remains solid. Anything above this frequency is unavailable - signal quality 0%, stength 75%. Everything below (apart from the next 2 transponders down) is rock solid at 75%/99%. Any idea what can cause this?
The only nasty in the equation is that this is going via a loftbox for the cable run and via a wall plate splitter. I'd suspect this if all the other transponders weren't so solid unless this kind of setup has an issue with frequencies over a certain value. My other doubt is the skew of the LNB which I haven't particularly tweaked but again the great signal on other transponders leads me to think it's pretty much OK.
Any help really appreciated.
Thanks. |
