If the deposit is on the face of the dish that suggests the birds are landing on the top rim of the dish as they are not that good a shot. If that is the case there are some strips around with flexible rubber protruberances to discourage the birds from landing there in the first place. Be careful though there are some I have seen with sharp metal spikes which I suspect may not now be legal but I have seen them on many buildings.
