If you speak about MAC Adress solution, I think the ultimate solution is here :

It's called
dm500mac_generator.zip and changes the MAC Adress stored in bootloader binary file.
You just have to put the MAC Adress you want (Maybe something like 00:09:34:xx:xx:xx ?) in this software, then select the bootloader binary you want to modify, and that's it : a new bootloader file is generated.
JTAG it, and enjoy !
