If there's (for example) an Astra 7A on 19.2E with 40 transponders at given frequencies w/ digital channels and then Astra 7B is co-positioned on the same position and being a satellite of the same type also has 40 tps AT EXACTLY THE SAME FREQUENCIES as Astra 7A BUT surprise, surprise IT IS ALL ANALOGUE for analogue receivers, WILL THERE BE INTERFERENCE? |
There would be horrible interference in that scenario

Probably enough to destroy both the analogue & digital transmissions. This is why the frequencies are normally kept about 20MHZ apart and on alternate polarities
