My System: Panasonic Reciever

On the dishpointer website, for the Astra 2a-b-d satellites,it states that the Elevation is 27.8 degrees and the Azimuth (true) is 153.5.....?

What is Azimuth, is that a compass bearing.

Told you that I was new to all of this?
