Not any old piece of cable will do, you need proper satellite cable.


The trees would have grown a bit, perhaps they have reached the point where they are causing an obstruction.

The photos seem to indicate that the trees are the problem.

If so, you will need to either reduce their height or raise the height of the dish.



If you go to dishpointer or similar you will know the required elevation angle for Hotbird in your location. If the angle from the dish to the top of the trees is more than that, that is the problem.
