My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum. | All I can say is to stop farting around with moving the dish, you are jumping the gun and wasting your own time.
Send the dish to zero, set your longitude and latitude in the receiver, send the dish to 1W and leave the receiver alone, aside from setting it to a receivable transponder for that satellite, then by swinging the whole assembly on the mast and adjusting the dish elevation only, find 1W. Do not touch the motor controls on the receiver again until you have a good maximised signal on 1W.
