Well you could but it wouldn't give optimum results because the sky dish is 'short and wide' while a standard dish is 'tall and thin' and the LNB is matched to the appropriate profile. Also the method of mounting is often different. You could probably get away with it for Sky because an 80cm dish has a greater area and so you'd still have a strong signal despite the mismatch, but you may suffer on less strong satellites.
You are allowed 2 dishes under planning regs, so you could leave your Sky dish where it is and still have a motorised one on the other receiver |
