My System: TM6800HD, TM1000, TM600 Linux,TM5200, TM2200 motor, Triax TD110 dish + Fortec 85cm. Meter=Satlook Micro+G2 NIT

Hi,

It is like this:-


All the TV satellites are approx 22,000 miles above the equator, spaced out at various orbital positions.

The satellite that is closest to your longitude is highest in the sky, the others either side are lower, and get lower until they disappear below the horizon. It is know as the 'arc'

Here is a representation of the arc for the UK:-
