My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Spectrum analyser. | Have you read the guides here?
Before you start playing with moving the motor using the receiver, you need to find your due South satellite. Being in Berkshire it is going to be very close to Thor 1W.
So you make sure that your mast is plumb, your latitude setting on the motor body is correct and then by swinging the whole assembly on the mast and adjusting the dish elevation, you find your satellite. Easier if you have a little satfinder meter, but a portable TV connected to the receiver with a long lead will suffice. |
