Well I would suggest that is the problem, it indeed features a fast 7200 RPM spindle speed thus when getting full the HD is trying to find space to put data and is working harder and harder the less space available, it is already hot from the increased speed and therefore get even hotter. Always recommended is a 5400 rpm drive |
