if he's not getting the free channels, no chance of getting the encrypted ones, card or no card !
first make sure you can receive the free channels (BBC-ITV). That way we know your dish is correctly aligned & connected to your dreambox. Once that is the case, install CCcam & set as default emu (NO cardserver !), insert sky card (chip facing down) & reboot. this should open all the
Sky channels you are paying for (and nothing more).
